Terms & Conditions
WeighTooMuch is a personal tracking tool, not medical advice — it's not a substitute for professional guidance, especially around eating, weight, or health concerns. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian for anything specific to you.
What this is
This is a small app for tracking food and body measurements, built and run by one person on a server they manage themselves. It's made by WeighTooMuch LLC, a one-person company in Virginia.
Anyone can create an account.
What's shared, and what isn't
Your food log, your weight and measurements, your goals and your photos are private to you. When you scan a barcode for a product the app doesn't have yet and fill in its details, that product is added to a shared database so other people can find it by scanning the same barcode — but nothing identifies you, and no one can tell who added it or that you ate it. Foods you type in without scanning stay private to you. See the privacy policy for the detail.
No warranty
This app is provided as-is, with no guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or accurate. It runs on a single rented server looked after by one person, with no one on call around the clock — occasional downtime for maintenance or updates should be expected.
Your data
The food and measurement data you log belongs to you. You can export it as a CSV file at any time from Settings, and you can permanently delete your account and everything in it yourself, without needing to ask anyone — also from Settings. Deleting your account is immediate and can't be undone.
Account standing
An account can be suspended if it's used to abuse or disrupt the app for other people, or to add offensive content to the shared food database. Reported foods are reviewed, and anything that shouldn't be there is removed.
Age
This app isn't directed at children. You must be at least 14 years old to create an account, and the app checks your date of birth during setup.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the app changes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms. See also the Privacy Policy.
