Copyright & DMCA
WeighTooMuch lets people type their own food names and upload a profile picture. If you own the rights to something that has been uploaded here, this page is how to tell us.
Reporting something
Email [email protected] with “DMCA” in the subject. To be a valid notice under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), it needs to include:
- Your signature (typing your name in the email is fine).
- What the copyrighted work is.
- Where it appears here, specifically enough that we can find it.
- How to contact you.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, an agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.
What happens next
We remove or disable the content promptly and tell the person who uploaded it what was removed and why.
They can send a counter-notice to the same address. If they do, we pass it to you, and unless you tell us within 10 business days that you have gone to court, the content may be restored — that is what the statute requires of us, not a judgement about who is right.
Accounts that repeatedly infringe are closed.
Our designated agent
WeighTooMuch LLC has a designated agent registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. Notices sent to the address above reach them.
Please only use this for copyright. Anything else — a wrong calorie count, a bug, an account problem — goes to Support, where it will be dealt with faster.
